History of Automobiles
The production of the automobile is not the product of a single product, or a single country. It is a combined effort of many persons of different countries for several years, which puts the today's modern automobile on road.

1. 1769 Captain Nicolas Cugnot of France built the first actual self-propelled vehicle road vehicle. It was a 3 wheeled vehicle(one wheel at the front and two at the rear, powered by a steam engine.
2. 1801 Richard Trevithick built England's first full sized steam vehicle.
3. 1829 Williams James contributed in the development of steam engines in America.
4. 1876 Nicolas Otto built the first practical four-stroke piston cycle internal combustion engine.
5. 1880 German and French efforted to develop an internal combustion engine vehicle, which was used to carry fruits.
6. 1885/86 Gottlieb Daimler ( together with his design partner Wilhelm Maybach) patented an internal combustion engine.
7. 1885 Karl Benz of Germany built the world's first practical automobile to be powered by an internal combustion engine. It was a three wheeler.
8. 1891 Benz built his first four wheeled car.
9. 1893 America's first gasoline powered commercial car was manufactured by two brothers, Charles Duryea and Frank Duryea.
10. 1908 Ford started to build cars with the very famous Model T.
11. 2000s In this generation different automobiles and automotive parts were developed and this generation is still running till now.
